Volgograd, Russia – October 2009

In less than 3 weeks several members of Riverside will leave for Volgograd, Russia (depart October 15) for our annual fall trip – John Cooke, Tony Chron, Rick Ellis, Elena Taylor, and Mike Odle.  We’ve secured our visa’s, our plane tickets…our flu shots!  We are very anxious to get the plane ride over and done with…what a beating.  But it’s a beating that is soon forgotten once we arrive and are greeted and loved by our Russian brothers and sisters at the church and out wonderful friends at the university.

The journey is long and difficult for both us and our families at home, and we are very thankful and appreciative of all the prayers and support you give us.  Keep it up!

Stay tuned in to this web site for more information as it develops.  It will really “take off” once our feet hit the ground in Volgograd.
